The idea of a hot tub is to imitate the soothing environment of Mother Nature’s natural hot spring. There a many components and procedures that are necessary to make this idea a tangible one. Just as a natural hot spring, Amtech Spas are equipped with the therapeutic effects of heat and water pulsation. Below the water line lies an intricate system of hydrotherapy water jets causing an unbeatable massage like experience. Swirl massage jets go a step beyond that to cover a body area larger than that encompassed by hydrotherapy jets.
Unlike a bathtub or whirlpool, Amtech Spas are self contained acrylic and fiberglass vessels. Rather than draining and refilling the entire tub between uses, this spa heats, filters and re-circulates the water. However, the spa does have need of intermittent draining (we recommend 2-3 times a year), cleaning, and refilling to keep the water crystal clear and well balanced. At the core of an Amtech spa is the hot tub support system. This system carries out the basic duties of filtering, circulating, and heating the water. Water is first waned from the tub through skimmers and drains. It then flows through the heater and pump to make its way back into the spa by way of hydrotherapy water jets. The thermostat will activate this cycle to either maintain a sufficient level of circulation or to heat the spa. The hot tub pump will function on a low speed to filter and the heater will cycle as required to sustain a steady temperature. The high speed pump, set in motion only by the user, will boost current through the jets to offer a higher level of hydrotherapy.
