Once a week was developed to be compatible with all spa filtration systems and spa types. No additional equipment is needed. It is compatible with ozonators, ionization units and catalytic sanitation devices. Outside of proper water balance, clean filtration and good circulation, there are no special requirements for introducing Once a week into spa water. It instantly and completely dissolves in circulating spa water. How is Once a Week Different from Other Conventional Water Treatment? As mentioned above, Once a week is a multi-faceted chemical blend. It is designed to do the many jobs that usually require several chemicals and result in a good deal of anxiety for spa owners. It contains the World’s only sustaining oxidizer, non-bleaching and working up to 7 days on a single dose. It is very consumer friendly! Once a week generates a tremendous amount of oxygen with each dose, creating luxuriously soothing water unlike any other. The bather exits with skin feeling clean and soft, without obnoxious smells or residues. What Other Products May be Used with Once a Week™? Maintain™ is designed to be compatible with all other conventional spa products including balancers, clarifiers, enzyme products, bromine and chlorine, too! Simply use these products much less often and only as needed. Once a week is also compatible with ozone and mineral purifiers. Dosage is basically cut in half when combined with ozone or mineral purifiers. | Contents of Once-A-Week Kit | What is the Cost of Once a Week™ in Relation to Other Products? A 1 lb. container of Once a week™ will last the user approximately 8 - 10 weeks with ozonator or Nature 2 purifier depending on size and usage of spa. Maintain may be used in slightly higher doses with traditional sanitizers. The average Once a week user will spend about $5.00 a week, including sanitizer. With savings on balancers, foam reducers, clarifiers, mineral purifiers and less sanitizer usage, this compares quite favorably with what the typical consumer is currently spending on other spa maintenance regimens, without the tremendous benefits. Instructions for Use Click here for Manual (pdf) The Once-a-Week™ kit contains all the chemicals needed to prepare and balance your spa water for simple once-a-week maintenance featuring our unique Maintain™ multi-tasking compound. Once-a-Week™ includes 1 lb.Maintain™, 8 oz. Start Up ™, 1 lb. EZ Boost™, 1 lb. pH Up™, 1 ½ lb. pH Down™, 1 lb. Hard H2O™, test strips and 1 oz. measuring scoop. Spoil yourself with Once-a-Week™ SIMPLICITY: Start-Up (Fresh water fill) 1) Sequester metals if applicable. It is best if no metals are present in spa water. We recommend Start Up™ to remove metals and phosphates. 2) Balance spa water to: 7.2 – 7.6 pH, 250 – 400 ppm. Calcium Hardness, 80 – 120 ppm. Total Alkalinity. 3) Initiate start-up for any spa size with 2 to 3 oz. dichlor shock (EZ Boost™) introduced with spa pump running. 4) Next, dose with 1 oz. (2 tbsp.) of Maintain™ per 100 gallons of water by simply dissolving product in circulating water near any spa jet. Note: Wait minimum of 1 hour before entering tub. 5) After 48 hours, pressure rinse the filter cartridge. Chemical soaking is not required. 6) Test for 1.0 or higher “Total Chlorine” level with any 5-way chlorine test strip. It is not unusual for pH to drop slightly after dosing. Buffers will adjust pH back up typically in 24 – 48 hours. Test for pH before dosing as opposed to after. Routine Maintenance In conjunction with OZONE or MINERAL PURIFIER, use 1 oz. (2 tbsp.) of Maintain™ per 200 gallons once-a-week for typical spa usage; and use minimum of 1 oz. of Dichlor (EZ Boost™) per 350 gallons weekly, slightly more Maintain™ for heavier use. Wait at least 1 hr. for chemicals to circulate before entering tub. Maintain™ and sanitizer may be added simultaneously. Maintain™ also makes spa water care simple and dependable without ozone or mineral purifiers. Just increase the Maintain™ dosage to 1 oz. per 100 gallons of spa water and proceed with the same routine maintenance instructions above. Test weekly and after heavy use for 1.0 or better “Total Chlorine” and balance with a 5-way chlorine test strip. Adjust weekly dosage or spot dose as needed. Pressure rinse filter cartridge every 2 weeks or as needed to maintain clear water.
